Righteousness in the New Testament is not a standard of morality or of doing right or living right; but it’s a position of acceptance int he presence of God, because of the perfect work of Jesus Christ on our behalf.
Righteousness is not a standard of morality.
Righteousness is a position you have in the presence of God.
We’ve been taught that righteousness is a condition, but according to the New Testament righteousness is a position.
Regardless of your condition, faith in the finished work of Christ positions you in God’s presence as righteous.
