Have you ever seen a picture with lots of images and after looking at the picture for a while, another picture emerges? I love it when God gives me a picture and when I’ve looked at it for a while another picture emerges. In the Bible it is called revelation – when you see a picture that is hidden and it comes to light. Today was one of those, ‘I see a new picture’ days.

Luke 22:1-6 Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread drew near, which is called Passover. 2 And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might kill Him, for they feared the people. 3 Then Satan entered Judas, surnamed Iscariot, who was numbered among the twelve. 4 So he went his way and conferred with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray Him to them. 5 And they were glad, and agreed to give him money. 6 So he promised and sought opportunity to betray Him to them in the absence of the multitude. NKJV

Most people already know the story of Judas betraying Jesus. But there is another picture in this story:
When this group of men got together to mastermind how they would do something which was evil, there was a force released. Satan. I call him a force for evil because that’s what his job is – to kill, steal and destroy. They were unaware of his involvement. They were just trying to figure out how they could kill Jesus without the crowd, because the crowd was really leaning into what Jesus was doing and teaching. They were afraid of the crowd. Satan went to work on these guys.
The Bible does not show that Judas had any particular connection with the priests and scribes, but Satan who had been working with Judas, entered into him and moved him (Judas) to connect with the priests and scribes. The Jewish leaders probably considered this a stroke of good luck! But it was not coincidental! It was Satan’s plan in the first place; brought the two together for the plot to be carried out.

This is why we must be conscious of the thoughts and words so as to not activate the wrong work force of the unseen world.

On the other hand, when we are seeking God’s plan and gathering together with His people having the same purpose and desire, who do you think will move into action our behalf?
The angels of God, heeding the voice of His word:
Psalm 103:20 Bless the LORD, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word.
Yes, the hand of God and His forces! Remember the story when Peter was put in jail and his company of friends was praying, seeking God’s hand? He had been falsely locked up in the first place by evil authorities. But God sent His angel and opened the jail doors and brought Peter out (Acts 12). Peter thought he was having a dream until real doors began to open on their own. There are real forces present that can be for you or against you. We choose which by what we say. The priest and scribes that were seeking ways to kill Jesus got the help they needed; their plan succeeded. Just as Satan pulls evil plans to work for evil purposes, even more so, God is bringing all things together to work for good for us who believe.
When our eyes see the hidden picture it’s not really hidden but God working with us to give us light to live by called revelation. Hallelujah.
