Hebrews 10:25
NKJV not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as ye see the Day approaching.
CSB not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.
CEV Some people have given up the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. We should keep on encouraging each other, especially since you know that the day of the Lord’s coming is getting closer.
As believer’s we are encouraged in scripture to do it. But there is power in belonging to a group and it doesn’t matter what group…Game, Book, Exercise, Hiking, Women’s, Bikers, etc. Something wonderful happens when you are included. When children/youth belong to group it gives you a place and purpose of significance.
When something happens to you, you have group that will support you and encourage you.
When I met my doctor he as asked this question: do I belonged to a group or church. He says, it’s just incase something were to happen to you, he could contact them and inform them that care needs to be provided. How amazing!
So when people come to church and just leave, and never get involved in even a little group: things happen to them but no one knows. The larger the church, the more lost you can be. By truly belonging and getting involved, even in the smallest of task, you receive more benefits and feel included. When you are not around, you are missed and your place suffers. Everyone has something that they can give of themselves and it does bless others, even if you think it doesn’t.
Go get involved!
